Our Poultry Specialist, Meghan, hosted our annual Backyard Poultry 101 Seminar at the Peterborough Branch (2182 Keene Road, Otonabee) on Tuesday, March 4th. 

This seminar discussed raising both broilers and layers, at the backyard level. Topics included preparing for day-old chicks, breed selection, coop design, proper nutrition, predator prevention & control, processing options, farm gate marketing, biosecurity, and common diseases including Avian Influenza. An open Q&A session followed the presentation. 

All participants received an information package, poultry pricelists, and a coupon for in-store use.
