
Spring Beekeeping Seminar Series 2025
We are excited to announce new dates for our 2025 Spring Beekeeping Seminar Series, with guest speaker John MacFarlane of Dancing Bee Equipment. These seminars will be hosted at our Peterborough Branch (2182 Keene Rd, Otonabee).
Beginner Beekeeping Seminars - *NEW* FOR 2025 - TWO PART SEMINAR
A complete beginners guide to backyard beekeeping, geared to those with zero to limited experience. In this two part series, you will learn everything you need to know to start your own hive this spring. John will cover the 10 most frequently asked questions by beginners, basic beekeeper needs, and the many common mistakes made. Both sessions will allow for interactive Q&A throughout the seminars.
Dates: Tuesday, April 8th and Tuesday, April 15th
Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm
Cost: $40/person (includes both sessions, information package & coupons)
Advanced Beekeeping Seminar
This single evening seminar is designed for those who have had bees for at least 6 months. We will take a more in-depth look into pest management, queen rearing, hive splitting, swarm prevention and more. This session will allow for interactive Q&A throughout the seminar.
Date: Tuesday, April 22nd
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Cost: $20/person (includes single session, information package & coupons)
